On 14 September, Balmain Public School's hall was trasformed into an amazing 'Blue Planet' art gallery. The 373 local student artists' individual artworks they had been working on, were all professionally hung in the art gallery.
Collaborative artworks were also displayed, for the live auction to be had, at the grown ups only Opening Night. Parents, carers and staff mingled, viewed artworks and enjoyed canapes and refreshments. What a fabulous evening!
Saturday's Family Day was an absolute success, with the majority of our community coming through to enjoy the gallery, sausage sizzle and fun-filled activities, such as the bike blender smoothies and origami stalls. Our students excitedly showed their families their professionally hung artworks.
The class artworks, although all sold the night before, were on display in the gallery, so visitors were able to have a close look at the handiwork of our students, under the guidance of teachers and parent helpers.
